Ubuntu 14.10 Utopian Unicorn
by Tony Hill on October 24, 2014
Good news for all of those who use an extremely popular open-source operating system Ubuntu. The organization Canonical has announced the availability of a new version of the popular operating system Ubuntu 14.10 (development code Utopian Unicorn
). It brings slightly less innovation than would be expected from the past updates.
Among the major innovations are updates for the various hardware components, especially for 64-bit ARM processors, both in desktop and server versions. What is most interesting is the functionality of the automatic identification of printers that are connected to the computer via USB and equipped with a network connection. Of course, do not overlook the programming tools Ubuntu Developer Tools Centre, which is perfect for development of mobile software for tablet PCs and smart mobile phones Android.
