Half billion downloads for Line app

Japanese mobile app for sending text messages and making calls, named Line, is quickly gaining new users, because of its versatility and ease of use. It was downloaded more than 500 million times on Google Play. Users are installing it on smart mobile phones and also tablet computers with mobile operating system Android.

Mobile app Line is very popular mostly on Asian market, and is gaining popularity also on European and American market. App is supposed to be currently used by more than 700 million active users (Android and iOS combined). For comparison, mobile apps WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are currently used by 900 million users worldwide.
