Ubuntu phone coming soon!

by Tony Hill on February 6, 2015

Although the project of an extremely powerful smartphone Ubuntu Edge fell into the water in the second half of 2013, founder of Canonical, Mark Shuttleworth, does not intend to give up.

It seems that mobile operating system Ubuntu Touch will be initially installed on smart mobile phone of the Spanish telecommunications giant BQ, which should be for sale in the first half of February. Its retail price is expected to be highly favorable compared with the models of the leading manufacturers.

The first smartphone of Spanish telecommunications giant BQ should be based on the basis of their mobile Aquaris E4.5, which is equipped with a 4.5 inch screen and 4-core processor MediaTek with frequency of 1.3 gigahertz. Remaining hardware should include 8 GB of system memory, digital camera with resolution of 8 mega pixels and web camera with resolution of 5 million pixels. Price will be around $200 to $400, which will be for smart mobile phone with a mobile system Ubuntu very attractive price.
