Controversial Popcorn Time has been taken down
by Tony Hill on October 27, 2015
Popcorn Time service became extremely popular between movie lovers. It supports operating systems Windows, OS X and Linux and provides an easy access to the pleasures of movie watching through the P2P network, although the content is at least in terms of copyright more or less controversial.
Due to the popularity of service, it was only a matter of time, before association for the protection of copyright will take a closer look at it.
Due to targeted attacks on domain name servers, developer of the controversial online service shut down all servers and deleted all records in order to protect other programmers from prosecution. Although clones of Popcorn Time service still function smoothly, closure of the most famous service for accessing movies via P2P network, undoubtedly blew a major strike on movie pirates. In addition, there are currently no indications that Popcorn Time would at least soon be available again.
